Twice as many men as women take the plunge and start business in later life.
Pentlands client Isabella Moore CBE, has recently launched her ground-breaking research into the reasons why.
Elinor will be speaking on the panel at this event which has been arranged by C&W Chamber of Commerce and is sponsored by HSBC and Comtec.
The research highlights some of the reasons why. Entrepreneurial activity among 50-64 age group is on the increase across the UK, the gap between overall male and female rate of venture creation is widening. Some of the key findings of her report, include the need for more mentoring and confidence-building business support services to help older women overcome some of the common barriers to pursuing their business dreams.
Already in business, or about to start one, there are many challenges, especially if you are considering this option later in life? At this free event you’ll hear from women who’ve made a success of their business and practitioners that can help you achieve your own business goals.
