Pentlands client, Comtec Translations are proud to announce that they are now B Corp UK certified and the first UK translation company to achieve this!
Sophie Howe, director said: Sounds exiting! But what does this mean exactly? It means that as a business, Comtec strive to have a positive impact on the world, we live in by adhering to very high environmental and social standards. In other words, we are living the `business for good’ mantra.
Crucially, our B Corp Certification doesn’t just prove where we excel now; it also commits us to consider stakeholder impact for the long term. So, this isn’t a one hit wonder.
How did we achieve B Corp status?
• We identified four key areas we could structure our application around: Employees, Partners, Clients and Community
• We then set up internal working groups to deliver around these; our employees chose which groups they wanted to contribute to via their own personal passions and interests
• Our thinking wasn’t limited to achieve B Corp status; it involved us putting the Comtec values front and centre of what we believe in and want to deliver every day
We are so excited to join this wonderful new family of like-minded businesses that have been awarded this certification. FACT! Currently there are over 1,000 UK businesses who have been awarded B Corp status, and it’s growing all the time.
