The Pentlands team attended The Midlands Service Excellence Awards presentation dinner last month. The awards recognise, reward and celebrate those individuals and companies that provide very high levels of service excellence across the region. It was a great evening, with around 100 people attending, representing many companies from across the region and beyond. A variety of awards were presented, ranging from the specialist awards to the last award of the evening which was the Ambassador of the Year.
Unlike all of the other awards presented, this award was not open to nominations. Not even the judging panel members knew who the winner was. The winner was a collective decision made by the awards organisers - First Impressions Training and Henrik Court Events Management. After devising a list of possible winners - each of whom would be very worthy of winning such an award - they had many conversations before agreeing who would win their first Ambassador award.
The team are very proud and delighted to announce that the first winner of The Midlands Service Excellence Awards, Ambassador of the Year is Elinor Perry-Hall - Managing Director of Pentlands Accountants & Advisors.
Henrik Court started to read out the details of the winner and the team immediately thought of Elinor. Here’s what he said: “the winner is a widely respected business leader in their sector and is highly regarded by their peers, team, and importantly, their clients. They started out in their chosen business sector on the first rung of the career ladder and had tenaciously worked hard, with determination and some setbacks, to progress their career to where they are today.
The winner leads a successful business whilst never neglecting their family responsibilities. They also volunteer some of their time, in aid of charitable causes. A great role model, running a mentoring group - sharing their knowledge, expertise and advice to other business owners. People and service excellence are at the heart of their business and she not only goes the extra mile for clients, but also for her family and friends too”
