Bournville College and The Birmingham Post are calling on companies to plan high quality bids that will generate investment and jobs. Businesses can submit their bids until Friday 19 September at 1.00pm
Background
- This is the second time Bournville College & The Birmingham Post have delivered the Growth Fund; the previous scheme was very successful creating over 300 jobs and helping over 60 companies.
- The grant is for businesses looking for a source of investment to grow, expand or start-up.
- Companies can bid for grants of £10k – £100k provided they are a small or medium sized business located in Birmingham, Solihull or Coventry.
- Businesses are required to create or safeguard jobs and ‘match’ the grant with other investment. They should to invest £3 for every £1 of grant funding being sought.
- The Growth Fund is competitive – to ensure their bid is as strong as possible, companies should consider; their potential for growth, investment readiness and ability to create or safeguard jobs.
- We will run several application rounds over the next 12 months, the next round will be in October 2014.
