“Since 2010, we have successfully developed our brand through our founding store in Madrid. In 2023, we began plans to expand and set up a UK business, opening a flagship store in London. Although we are experienced business owners, we were new to the UK and understand the importance of having the best team around us.
Finding the right accountants, who would provide us with a personalised relationship, was critical to us as we knew we would need help to understand UK import and export laws, taxes and accounting requirements. This is what we love about Pentlands; they are very accommodating and approachable. Jess is very kind and patient; rather than baffling us with accounting jargon, she takes time to explain requirements in a way that you understand and can relate to.
We also really value being on a fixed monthly retainer fee with Pentlands. Although we are based in London, we didn’t want to be tied into a London accountancy firm and especially did not want to pay London prices. It is reassuring to know that we can pick up the phone or send an email to Elinor or Jess knowing we are not going to be charged for the call.
